Astride the Divide: Local Knowledge a Winner!

Fourty-five players enjoyed a lovely day out in Springsure on April 7 for the Golf Central Highlands V Golf Central West Bi-annual Astride the Divide Event.  There must have been a home club advantage, as local Springsure team Keith and Gary Mayne, Frank and Gay Dendle took out the Golf Central Highlands Sponsored Event from Runner Ups Jamie and Dean Sullivan, Charlotte and Marree Briese  Men’s best Stableford points went to Heath Lodder of Springsure with a respectable 43 points and the Ladies winner was Rhonda Cullen with 39 points.

Perpetual trophy sponsors Carmel and Kevin O’Keeffe said the day was thoroughly enjoyed by all participants.  Thank you to everyone who took the time to travel and support the event and for the Springsure Golf Club for hosting a great golfing day out.

Central Highlands players will now be invited to attend the return visit at Tambo Golf Club on October 6 which will also coincide with the Tambo Open on the Sunday.  Why not start planning and make a weekend of it!
